Living Stations Lead to Dying Sins

As Holy Trinity Seminary’s Living Stations of the Cross
approaches, the lessons learned become increasingly apparent. Sophomore
seminarian David Carvajal, from the Diocese of Tulsa, is set to play one of the
guards, a major role in the reenactment. David says, “Playing the part of a
Roman guard whose job is to crucify Jesus helps to deepen the Lenten spirit
within me. I act out the crucifixion of Christ, so that really lets me see the
effects of my sin.”
Preparing to play St. Longinus this Palm Sunday has given
David a new context for understanding sin; as each person witnessing the
enactment comes to understand. It is made clear that every lash and drop of
blood is shed on account of someone else’s sin. Holy Trinity’s living stations
allows one not to simply know that but to experience it in a powerful way.
Please join us Palm Sunday, March 24, at 7pm
as we journey with Christ to Calvary.
